Sonia's take on true beauty...
As a successful makeup artist who has worked around the world for the last 20 years, Sonia has a straightforward approach to makeup application: "When clients walk through my door, they can expect a look that's pretty, fresh and glamorous," explains Sonia. "Always classic. Nothing too trendy."
Thanks to her refined style and sheer talent, Sonia has been recognized by Chicago Magazine as Chicago's Best Makeup Artist. Her makeup studio has also been featured in magazines such as InStyle, Allure and Chicago Social.
Start with a strong foundation...
Sonia attributes her passion for makeup and fashion to her mother and grandmother, both of whom Sonia describes as "very girlie, back in the day." Apparently, the apple doesn't fall far. While attending college, Sonia gained hands-on experience working at makeup counters and spas. Her career catapulted when she started doing makeup for major ad campaigns, commercials and film. Before long, Sonia had earned a name for herself - along with an impressive list of celebrity clientele.

While doing the makeup for a colleague's wedding, Sonia realized she had found her niche. "Brides are so innocent and fresh... we should all aim for that look every day," asserts Sonia.
In 2008, Sonia fulfilled her dream when she opened her own makeup studio that focuses on brides, product education and on-location services for weddings.
Sonia's biggest tip for brides-to-be? "Good skin! That's why we offer long-term skincare regimens, advanced esthetics treatments, well before the wedding day," explains Sonia. "Our services help prime the skin for flawless makeup application. Because no matter the skill of the artist, makeup always looks better on great skin."
