Mastering the art of beauty makeup is critical for any makeup artist. This 3 day intense class is your foundation to help you learn all other advanced techniques. We teach you the fundamentals of brush techniques, contouring, highlighting and facial anatomy as well as sanitation practices from the very beginning.  We help you determine what type of makeup you would like to pursue and help you develop your own artistic style. The end of the class we help you put together a basic makeup kit so you can begin to practice your craft.

Beauty Airbrushing 101

Sonia Roselli was the first makeup artist in Chicago to offer airbrushing to brides. In this 6 hour class you will learn the fundamentals of airbrush equipment, textures and brands of airbrush makeup. For the second half of the class you will learn contouring, highlighting, shading, eyeshadow and blush techniques for beauty makeup. In the final half hour of the class, Sonia will also teaches you proper cleaning and assembling. Mimimum of 4 students must be present to hold the class.  Airbrush equipment and tools will be provided. If you have your own products feel free to bring them along. Before and after photos will be taken of your work to see your progress.

  • determining rates for various services
  • why it's important to charge for previews
  • setting travel fees, minimums
  • writing contracts and managing common contract issues
  • growing your business in a slow, healthy way
  • how to set your rates so you are profitable
  • how to get professional artist discounts from top makeup companies

The final 90 minutes will feature a question and answer period, during which Sonia will provide candid feedback and helpful advice.

At the end of the workshop, Sonia will provide you with useful tools to get you started:

  • a contract template, written by an attorney (that you can customize the contract to your specific needs)
  • various bridal beauty forms to help you communicate with your clients
  • a list of professional marketing resources (printers, web designers, web content writers, etc.)
