Momental Designs
Momental Designs offers handmade custom invitations and coordinating accessories for weddings and other joyous occasions – all featuring the artwork of Kristy Rice. Since a young age, Kristy has been telling stories with her art. Pen, and paint, paper, and prose come together to communicate the personal stories of her clients with amazing attention to detail and an unmistakable sense of hand. Kristy’s stationery design captures and communicates the “Momental” moments that are fleeting yet profound.
When Kristy first came to us in 2009, she longed to have their artistry and handcrafted process translate into a website that was both functional and beautiful. Additionally, they sought art direction on crafting a meaningful identity. A true collaboration – we worked hand in hand with Kristy – sharing sketches and providing direction to each other until we came up with a logo that was just so. We worked with the Momental Team to create a content-rich website from the ground up – clearly organized, user friendly, and most importantly, showcasing the amazing talent of Momental Designs. With Kristy’s blessing, we translated her hand-drawn artifacts into digital beauty. Details of torn paper, pencil sketches, hand-painted flowers, and delicate washes of watercolor immerse the viewer into the world of a true artist.
In the years since our first project, Momental and Spitfiregirl continue to collaborate. From website refreshes and a personal blog, to playful icons and patterns, we always look forward to getting “messy” with Kristy and her team!
